Old Man Kebari

Old Man Kebari

I used this fly extensively in the summer of 2020 as I fished numerous streams in Wyoming's Teton and Wind River Ranges. There were two inspirations for the name. The first was that the colors reminded me of an old school (traditional) British wet fly. The second was that as I was scrambling up and around large, slippery boulders in those mountain streams, I was reminded that I'm not as young as I used to be. My knees and hips feel the day's exertions much more than they used to. I'm getting old.
