The store is shut down starting today (December 9, 2022) until sometime in June 2023. We just bought a house in Wyoming but will be splitting our time between there and Utah for the next several months. That makes things like filling orders difficult. On top of that, we'll need to register our business in Wyoming, register to collect and file sales tax, etc. So while we get settled in, the site is still viewable, but you can't buy anything.
In the mean time, you can submit your email address on any product page to be notified when that product is back in stock (i.e., when the store is live again).
Happy tying and fishing!

]]>Because the UK and Australia made up the bulk of non-North American orders (and because several other countries besides those are affected by COVID-19 shipping issues), it's simpler for us to simply close down the shop to everyone outside of North America. We're sorry for the hassle this has caused, and we hope to be able to open back up a bit wider as things get better in the future.

]]>We've got 30 new wool yarns in the store, and two of them are from a small farm in central New York, Flora and Fauna Farm. The really interesting thing about these two yarns is that they are UV-reactive, meaning that to a trout's eye (trout and certain other fish can see UV light), they'll glow. We believe this is the first UV fly tying yarn out there, and we've got it in two colors:
The 28 other new yarn colors are all Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift varieties, bringing the total number of Spindrift yarns we offer to 93. Here are the new colors:
These are some absolutely awesome colors! Don't know where to start? Check out Mirry Dancers, Dog Rose, Damask, and Black/Moorit. Quantities of all new yarns are somewhat limited, so if you see a color you like in stock, jump on it. It'll probably be a couple of weeks before we're able to get more.
And yes, the Wool Yarn Color Guide has been updated to show all of the new yarns.
Want to buy all of the Spindrift yarns we offer at once? The Spindrift Wool Yarn Bundle includes all 93 of them. Add them all to your cart in one fell swoop to save yourself a lot of money and clicking.
We have only 4 of these in stock, so again, act fast if you're interested.
We now offer scud hooks (sizes 10 and 12), wet fly/nymph hooks (sizes 10 and 12), and 2-packs of black stiff hackle (size 12) feathers.
Ever needed a way to measure out lengths of yarn at the fly tying bench? Us too. That's why we now offer the Fly Tying Ruler.

]]>We ship all orders through USPS (United States Postal Service) First Class Mail. All US orders are ostensibly supposed to arrive in 3 to 7 days, and all international orders in 7 to 21 days. The problem is that the United States Postal Service (USPS) is having issues this year, and those have been magnified around this holiday season. We've had a couple of recent domestic packages inexplicably take 15 days to arrive, and for most of that time, the tracking information was not updated. International orders are reportedly having even longer delays.
Once the package leaves us, we have no additional insight into or control over the tracking or delivery process. If your package is taking longer to arrive than it should, we apologize, and we ask that you be patient. If your package really does get lost, we will make it right at no additional cost to you.
Thanks,
Tristan & Cassie
